“Duncan Savage’s superb white uses grapes from two vineyards on sandstone soils in Elandskloof and Villiersdorp and is a cuvée of Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Semillon. Racy and pithy, despite completing full malolactic, it has lovely flinty reduction, notes of brine, blackcurrant leaf and salted almonds and a core of celery, lime and pink grapefruit.”
