“This really captures Friulano! White tannins, cobnuts, pears, bay leaves. Citrus that is both sweet and bitter (like dried and candied lemon and grapefruit slices). A bell curve of flavour that starts a bit tight and snippy (tannins on the tip of the tongue and struck-match, go-away-I’m-busy smokiness) and then suddenly fills the mouth with ripe fruit and spherical sweetness peppered with tiny tiny prickles of spritz.”
